Mr. Ojuroye is widely acknowledged as one of Africa’s most accomplished entrepreneurs, attaining remarkable success across an expansive business portfolio encompassing diverse sectors such as financial services, real estate, fintech, FMCG, energy, hospitality, and gaming. As the visionary founder and CEO of KC Gaming, he has spearheaded a transformative revolution within the African gaming technology industry, propelling KC Gaming to become the largest and most rapidly expanding company in its sector across the continent.
Mr. Ojuroye has recently cemented his influential presence in the financial sector by founding Optimus Bank, a leading national commercial bank in Nigeria, where he holds 60% of the shares. He also has a significant interest in other leading financial institutions, Providus Bank (10%) – a leading national commercial bank, Mango Asset Management Ltd (70%) – a premier investment management firm, 9jaPay (70%) – a leading fintech/payment platform. These ventures highlight his considerable influence and expertise within the financial industry.
Over the past three decades, he has made notable contributions to successful bilateral and trade discussions within Africa, leveraging his adept negotiation skills. His outstanding track record in navigating complex bilateral trade deals is widely acknowledged. Frequently referred to as an Africapreneur, he actively channels his wealth and resources into strategic investments in the energy, commodities, and infrastructure sectors, further reinforcing his dedication to the development and progress of Africa.
Mr. Ojuroye is an alumnus of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and has participated in various leadership and management programs at esteemed institutions such as the Harvard Business School in Boston and IMD Business School in Switzerland.
Ola Sowemimo is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at Mango Asset Management where he is responsible for a skilled group of investment professionals providing local and foreign investment and capital-based solutions to corporates, institutional and high-net-worth clients.
He has over 18 years of investment experience in global emerging and frontier markets, most recently as Chief Investment Officer at Ecobank Asset Management managing over $1billion in assets under management. Additionally, he has experience working for some of the biggest global investment management firms such as Amundi, Legg Mason, Citigroup and JP Morgan, where he concentrated on making investments in banking and non-banking financial institutions operating in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
Ola earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Nottingham, UK and an MBA from Imperial College, London. He is a CFA Charter holder.
Raymond Adeyemi is currently the Vice President of Sales at Mango Asset Management, bringing over 9 years of remarkable experience in the financial services industry.
His career spans across FBNQuest Asset Management and Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC), where he excelled as the Head of the Retail Division. In addition to his retail leadership role, he also spearheaded the bank relationship partnership and later assumed the position of Head of Institutional Sales, overseeing assets worth over N20 billion. During his time at FBNQuest, he successfully managed institutional assets of N25 billion.
Raymond holds a BSc in Sociology and is a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK), backed by a series of certificates, diplomas, and post-graduate qualifications in marketing. His outstanding achievements and expertise make him a valuable asset in the financial industry.
Jeremiah Etadafe serves as the Head of Middle Office at Mango Asset Management Limited, overseeing key areas of the company including Compliance, Risk and Control, and Operations.
With a comprehensive background in operations and middle office functions, Jeremiah has accumulated over 8 years of experience at Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) Nigeria, where he worked in both the Securities and Asset Management divisions.
Additionally, he holds the position of a sponsored individual from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Compliance Officer, demonstrating his thorough understanding of the regulatory framework governing Asset Management Companies in Nigeria.
Jeremiah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of Benin, Nigeria, and a Master’s degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a CFA Level 1 candidate.
Oyinkansola Oginni is a member of the investment team at Mango Asset Management. With a strong background in sell-side equity research, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Before joining Mango, Oyinkansola worked at EFG Hermes Nigeria, where she specialized in covering Sub-Saharan Africa Consumer stocks.
With her deep knowledge of the financial markets and dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends, Oyinkansola consistently delivers valuable insights and contributes to the success of the investment team at Mango Asset Management.
She holds an MSc in Management with Finance from the prestigious University of Bath in the UK. She is also a CFA level 3 Candidate.
Blessing Emeruwa is an accomplished finance professional with a wealth of expertise in various critical areas, including accounting, investment, financial forecasting, tax matters, cash flow management, and asset management, within the Nigerian financial services sub-sector.
Currently serving as the Finance Manager at Mango Asset Management Limited, she brings with her valuable experience from her prior roles as a Senior Finance Associate at both Mainstreet Capital Limited and Zedcrest Group.
In her capacity as Finance Manager, Blessing plays a pivotal role in driving the financial success of Mango Asset Management.
Blessing holds a B.Sc. in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, and she is a distinguished member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, which reflects her commitment to professional excellence.
Abigail’s career encompasses a blend of strong administrative management, client engagement, and executive support, providing her with a unique foundation in client experience. A certified Customer Service Specialist, Abigail brings a client-centric approach to her role, built on an extensive experience supporting senior management and optimizing front-line interactions.
Currently, Abigail serves as the Client Experience Lead at Mango Asset Management, where she leads initiatives to enhance service delivery. Her responsibilities include driving client satisfaction and ensuring seamless client onboarding and support.
Previously, She led Administration and served as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman, honing her skills in strategic support and efficient service delivery.
Abigail holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from University of Cross River State and is dedicated to enhancing the client experience through innovation and dedication to high-quality service.
AdeDamola is a sales-driven professional with a deep expertise in wealth management, investment strategies, and insurance solutions. With a BSc in Business Administration and Management from Houdegbe North American University Benin, AdeDamola combines strong academic grounding with years of practical experience to deliver financial solutions that drive business growth and client satisfaction.
As a Wealth Manager at Mango Asset Management, AdeDamola focuses on client acquisition, relationship building, and delivering tailored financial services that meet the unique needs of each client. With extensive experience in both investment and insurance sectors, AdeDamola offers a comprehensive approach to wealth management, providing clients with personalised strategies for portfolio optimisation and risk management.
Working closely with senior leadership, including Mango’s Vice President, Raymond Adeyemi, AdeDamola plays a key role in expanding the firm’s client base, using a sales-first approach to deliver value and build long-term partnerships.
